Hospice and Palliative Care
Compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals facing advanced and life-limiting illness — led by Dr. Dheeraj Kamra.
Overview
What to expect
Dr. Kamra is a highly experienced hospice and palliative care physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals facing advanced and life-limiting illnesses.
He has served as Medical Director of Anchor Hospice since May 2025 and brings more than 20 years of inpatient clinical experience, including service at Mercy Hospital of Folsom, Vibra Hospital, and Kentfield Hospital. At Vibra and Kentfield — long-term acute care hospitals serving medically complex and terminally ill patients — Dr. Kamra routinely guided patients and families through difficult healthcare decisions.
His experience includes symptom and comfort management, goals-of-care counseling, advance-care planning, code-status discussions, and coordination of transitions to hospice when appropriate. He works closely with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure that care reflects each patient's values, preferences, and quality-of-life goals.
Dr. Kamra has also served as Medical Director of Guardian Angel Home Health since February 2026, further strengthening his expertise in coordinating compassionate care across hospital, home-health, palliative-care, and hospice settings.
