Dheeraj Kamra, MD, FACP

Internist

Dheeraj Kamra, MD, is a board-certified internist. He leads the team at Ample Health in Carmichael, California. Dr. Kamra became interested in medicine at an early age because of his father, an esteemed anesthesiologist practicing in India.

After finishing a surgical residency at a prestigious medical school called, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh in India, Dr. Kamra moved to the United States.

Dr. Kamra trained at highly regarded and competitive residency programs, including the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, and Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Thanks to his experience, Dr. Kamra is well-versed in treating many medical conditions. He takes an evidence-based approach to medicine, ensuring his patients receive the highest quality of care.

He is an American College of Physicians member and has been granted a fellowship.

Dr. Kamra's interests include cardio exercises, biking, and strength training. He lives in Granite Bay, California, with his lovely wife and three kids.

Mythli Nagaraj, MD

Dr. Mythili Nagaraj is a dedicated physician with a strong commitment to patient-centered and integrative care. She is USMLE certified and holds an active California medical license and DEA certification, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Dr. Nagaraj has completed advanced coursework in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine, reflecting her interest in combining evidence-based medicine with a comprehensive approach to health and wellness. Her clinical excellence has been recognized with awards including Best Clinical Care Provider at Norton Healthcare and recognition from the American Medical Association.

She has contributed to medical literature through publications and presentations on topics such as infectious diseases, cancer screening, diabetes management, and fibromyalgia. Dr. Nagaraj has been part of our team since January 2024, where she provides compassionate, high-quality care and supports our mission of delivering comprehensive, patient-focused medical services.

Rekha Pareek, MD

Dr. Pareek earned her medical degree from RNT Medical College in Udaipur, India, completed her Internal Medicine residency at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, and pursued fellowship training at Drexel University Hospital in Philadelphia. With more than 23 years of clinical experience, she brings deep expertise and compassionate leadership to her work as a nephrologist. She is passionate about kidney care, with a special interest in home dialysis therapies and complex electrolyte disorders. In addition, Dr. Pareek specializes in Obesity Medicine and the management of metabolic syndrome, focusing on comprehensive, patient-centered strategies to improve metabolic health and long-term outcomes.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Pareek enjoys reading, exploring creative art and design projects, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Jamshid Faraji, MD

Board-certified Internal Medicine Physician and Lipidology Specialist

Dr. Jamshid Faraji is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and lipidology specialist who recently joined the practice of Dr. Dheeraj Kamra. With more than four decades of clinical experience, he brings deep expertise in preventive cardiology, lipid disorders, and comprehensive internal medicine. Dr. Faraji earned his medical degree from the National University of Iran in Tehran, followed by Internal Medicine residency training at Pahlavi University in Shiraz. He further advanced his training at Bristol Royal Infirmary in the United Kingdom, where he successfully completed MRCP Part I, before relocating to the United States to complete an additional Internal Medicine residency at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Since 1982, Dr. Faraji has practiced medicine in California across both outpatient and inpatient settings. His clinical focus includes the diagnosis and management of lipid disorders, cardiovascular risk reduction, diabetes, hypertension, and complex chronic medical conditions, while also addressing acute medical concerns with a patient-centered approach. In addition to comprehensive medical care, Dr. Faraji performs a variety of office-based procedures, including joint aspirations and injections, skin biopsies, and other minor procedures, providing convenient and efficient care for his patients.

Dr. Faraji is known for his thoughtful clinical judgment, extensive experience, and dedication to delivering personalized, evidence-based care.

Alice Phillips, FNP

Alice Phillips is a highly experienced Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 40 years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care across a wide range of clinical settings. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco, graduating cum laude, and holds national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Association. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Sacramento, and holds additional certifications in public health nursing, school nursing, and nursing education. Throughout her career, Alice has provided comprehensive primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, women’s health, pediatrics, and sports medicine services. From 2006 to 2023, she served at Marshall Medical Associates, where she cared for patients in internal medicine and urgent care and later became Medical Director of the Cameron Park Clinic. She has also contributed to the education of future healthcare providers as a clinical instructor for nurse practitioner and physician assistant programs, including at UC Davis School of Medicine.

Since 2023, Alice has been a valued member of the AmpleHealth team, where she continues to provide attentive, personalized care focused on prevention, chronic disease management, and overall patient well-being.

Sidrah Khan, FNP-C

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

My name is Sidrah Khan, and I am a board-certified FNP. I graduated with honors from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, a nationally recognized medical and nursing school, where I earned my graduate degree. I also hold dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Biomedical Sciences from New Jersey and California University, providing a strong foundation in the biological and health sciences. During my graduate education, I completed advanced clinical training alongside experienced providers in a variety of healthcare settings. I diagnose illnesses, prescribe medications, and manage care for patients of all ages,, with a focus on adult medicine treating the whole person through both prevention and treatment. I have over ten years of experience in healthcare, including the last four years practicing in family medicine and primary care in Washington DC, where I managed my own patient panel and treated a wide range of family and internal medicine–related conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, thyroid, infections and common mental health concerns. I also bring four years of urgent care experience, caring for patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and urgent medical needs.

I enjoy building strong relationships and trust with my patients, treating each person as a whole, and providing care that is culturally sensitive and holistic. In addition to internal medicine, I have experience in women’s health, including contraceptive management, prenatal care, and common women’s health concerns. In this practice, I also offer dermatology and aesthetic medicine services. Outside of work, I enjoy travel, fitness and spending quality time with family and friends while exploring new adventures.

I am fluent in English, Urdu and Punjabi, which allows me to communicate effectively with a broader patient community. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where patients feel heard, informed, and actively involved in their care. I am excited to be part of your health care team.

Gurpreet Smagh, PA

Board-certified Physician Assistant

Gurpreet Singh Smagh, MS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over a decade of diverse clinical experience spanning Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Occupational Medicine. He currently practices at Sacramento Rehabilitation Hospital, where he manages complex, multi-morbid rehabilitation patients and coordinates multidisciplinary care. His background includes extensive inpatient trauma and surgical ward management. He is skilled in bedside procedures including wound debridement, skin excisions, abscess management, and minor surgical interventions. With strong expertise in workers’ compensation, DOT physicals, and occupational injury management, he brings both clinical precision and operational efficiency to outpatient and inpatient settings. Fluent in English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu, he is committed to culturally competent, patient-centered care across diverse populations.

Yelena Popova, PA

Physician Assistant

Yelena graduated from Ivano-Frankivsk Medical Academy in Ukraine where she earned her MD. After moving to United States, she was trained as a physician assistant and worked in family and internal medicine since graduation from UC Davis Physician Assistant program in 2005. Yelena is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian languages. In her free time, she enjoys reading, trying new recipes and exploring hiking trails.

Harneet Sandhu, PA

Physician Assistant

Harneet Sandhu, PA-C was born and raised in the Bay Area and holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the UC Davis Physician Assistant Program. Harneet believes that patient education is the foundation of exceptional care. She is dedicated to fostering collaborative patient-provider relationships where individuals feel genuinely heard and play an active role in their healthcare decisions. Through compassionate, comprehensive inpatient care, she supports patients at every step of their recovery and rehabilitation journey.

Somosri Pal, PA

Somosri Pal, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over a decade of experience in internal and hospital medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from St. John’s University and later completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Touro University, with a focus on evidence-based medicine. Ms. Pal previously practiced at Montefiore Medical Center and Yale New Haven Hospital, where she cared for patients with complex medical conditions in inpatient settings. She is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach and strong clinical collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. She is fluent in Bengali, English, and Hindi.

Don earned his degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Philippines. He was a volunteer at Red Cross Philippines before becoming a Healthcare Virtual Assistant / Medical Assistant. He finished his training with Hello Rache to provide efficient support to healthcare teams. He helps manage scheduling, patient communications, data entry, and documentation while maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy. With strong attention to detail and a clear understanding of healthcare workflows, Don helps to stay organized, responsive, and focused on quality patient care. When he is free, he likes to play basketball, watch movies, and travel to try different foods.
