What to expect
When hospitalization is necessary, having a physician who knows your story changes everything. We provide inpatient oversight and coordination so your care stays connected from admission through discharge.
Being in the hospital is disorienting, and it tends to happen when you are least equipped to advocate for yourself. Having a physician there who already knows your history changes the experience — decisions get made faster, and they get made with the full context of your health rather than from a chart assembled overnight.
We visit you in the hospital to assess how you are doing and monitor the treatments you are receiving, working alongside the hospital staff to keep your care plan coherent from admission through discharge. We have particular experience caring for older adults admitted after a fall or a sudden illness, where the risks of a hospital stay compound quickly.

Admitting privileges, not the emergency room
If you are unwell or injured and think you may need hospital care, call us first. We hold admitting privileges at area hospitals, which can spare you the wait and the hand-off that come with arriving through the emergency department. If you are already admitted, let us know as soon as you can and we will pick up your care from there.

Care that continues after discharge
The hand-off out of the hospital is where continuity usually breaks. Because we followed your stay, there is no delay and nothing to re-explain — we carry your treatment forward through in-office visits or telehealth, and coordinate post-acute rehabilitation if your recovery calls for it.
